We are testing how an assistant can combine speech, visual evidence, confirmed memory and device interaction without pretending uncertainty is knowledge.

Free Frequency is a small experimental technology workshop led by Shannon Bishop. The work spans practical browser tools, sensing, automation, unusual-experience research and assistant systems.

Free is there for more than one reason: free to use when that makes sense, open to experiment, free to repurpose useful hardware and ideas, and free to follow a question far enough to find out what is actually happening.

I’m a builder and systems thinker from Midland, Michigan. My goal is to wake up more open-minded than I was yesterday—and willing to revise what I think I know.

I notice patterns and pull threads that others might overlook. I follow interesting questions wherever they lead: software, hardware, sound, strange ideas, practical problems and the occasional rabbit hole.

The goal isn’t certainty. It isn’t to find miracles. It’s to find mechanisms.
